The Adverts had a fiery encounter at this gig, with all manner of objects thrown by the Sham skinhead following, which was still in the process of growing around this time. Sham themselves weren’t bad as Pursey hadn’t quite developed into full-on gormless mode. A gig to survive rather than enjoy.
