Definitely on the rockier side of everything most of us were experiencing live back then Skunk Anansie nevertheless dazzled, the music supple yet whip sharp, the vocals electrifying. Their performance on Channel 4’s ‘The White Room’ elevating them to the top tier.
I was surprised when they split up. They hadn’t done enough, so it made sense when they reformed in the noughties. Skin is now an OBE. Bet she wasn’t thinking about that back in 1995. Great band, great singer.
