A very strange band doing a disco rock thing, ZIP ZIP UNDO ME certainly grabbed your attention when you saw them, and they were fun. Front and centre of their mania was one Mally Powell (R.I.P.), cavorting endlessly and containing the most vibrant of vocals. Clearly possessing an extraordinary range he could snarl like a loutish villain, then send notes ascending on high like a classically trained choirboy tackling opera. Once experienced, never forgotten.
Tomorrow I bring you 39 photos of DESTROY THE BOY from 1989.
