ON THIS DAY ... in 1991/1992 - The Butterflies, 2 Lost Sons, Walk On Water
A Bull & Gate spectacular. (188 photos)
Jessops, the one-time well know photo chain, was where I was getting all my negatives developed during these years and they were having a mad promotional thing where you were given a free film every time you dropped one in, and also letting you try a variety of new types. I’d built up a bit of a backlog and so at the 2 Lost Sons/W.O.W gig I actually took four or five films of each band. Admittedly it was a bit of a waste of time as none of them seem particularly different from one or other, plus 2LS had so much smoke at one point a whole film went to waste, and I actually chucked the negs. Anyway, you have to try these things, or did. Obviously I don’t use film anymore.
THE BUTTERFLIES (33 photos)
This was my favourite line-up of The Butterflies. When they dropped the extra guitar they lost their oomph a bit, and started to slowdown.
2 LOST SONS (54 PHOTOS)
All was going well for the band at this point. A string of great singles was cementing their reputation, with the album yet to come out.
WALK ON WATER (99 PHOTOS)
I know they put a single (‘Pets’), so why is there no sign on discogs or youtube?
