ON THIS DAY ... in 1991 - PURPLE UNDER MELTED PINK
27 photos of P.U.M.P. at the Falcon on February 11th, 1991
The brainchild of Finn Panton (R.I.P.) and Michelle Yee-Chong, a couple that worked together in various bands (most notably Junior Manson Slags), as well as being universally respected around the Camden scene, this was a weird project doomed by fate. They decided on a groovetastic cover of Donovan’s ancient ‘Barabajagal’, only for the original to be re-released at the same time, nullifying everything.
Tomorrow I bring you 19 photos of The Adverts and Sham 69 at the Roundhouse, February 1978.
