ON THIS DAY ... in 1989 - DESTROY THE BOY / P.A.R.A. / THE ARGUMENTS
64 photos of a typically boisterous Bull & Gate bill, 7th April 1989
THE ARGUMENTS - Reverbnation (download tons of free songs)
I posted these before, but in the boring gallery format, so these are better and some have been improved by editing (some are beyond such things) but these serve as a perfect reminder of what great nights Jon Beast (R.I.P.) ran. Three impossibly sparky, lively bands shot through with attitude. The Arguments and Destroy The Boy would go on to be two of my favourite bands of that era, whilst I only saw P.A.R.A. this once. (I think the name stood for People’s Army Rhythm Aces.) I believe the wild man rampaging around was formerly the singer of The Locomotives, another bunch of melodic miscreants.
