You’ll be seeing a lot of HYPE-related material as we progress through the year. With Jon Beast (R.I.P.) at the helm it became a social hotspot and fun palace as much as a plain old indie venue. You’d happily go there for a night out even though you hadn’t heard of the bands.
Having had success with the Timebox at the Bull & Gate, Jon wanted an exciting re-brand, and after a few weeks tidying/redecorating he got just that.

Jon would send out highly detailed newsletters to anyone in the media to get the word around. No journalist was safe!
