SPECIMEN didn’t release that many records (not that you can’t find a great compilation album out there) of early material, but they certainly weren’t helped by their label London Records being at their wankiest. Copies of the debut single ‘Beauty Of Poison’, for which these photos were taken, were nervously dropped off at radio stations in plain paper bags, lest civilisation crumble.
