Apart from their name giving a clue it’s hard to categorise TRUE LIFE CONFESSIONS beyond raucous punk cabaret? Sort of off to the side of Alberto Y Lost Trio Paranoias, but distinctly downmarket from Deaf School? That sort of thing. Playful filth. The band included Harri Kakoulli from Squeeze and John Dummer from Darts, so it all had a solid melodic shape. John and April (she of the whipped cream) Dummer also released several weird singles together.
