This gig was a nightmare as the lighting was really weird. I was on the right, where the female singer was (I don’t know their names, other than Mark the bassist as he sent me some info for my fanzine) and she was often properly lit, so I got some decent ones of her, with Mark also occasionally venturing forward into vision. Beyond that it was all seriously murky, which I never saw happen any other time there. Wish I’d taken photos at the other gigs I saw by them, as they were always highly active and entertaining, and the singer was enjoyably manic. They also left behind them two Peel sessions and two fine singles, particularly ‘End Of Civilisation’. For some reason they never made it onto the brilliant '“Vaultage” series of Brighton compilations.

Tomorrow I post AUSGANG at Dingwalls in 1984 (the remaining photos, after I posted one set last year).
