Perfect pop wildness at the Roundhouse, Camden (35 photos)

Anyone that caught them supporting Television in 1977 in the UK knew they’d be massive, and with their remarkable run of brilliant singles they naturally became massive worldwide. It was surprising to even see them at the Roundhouse when they could already have upgraded to the Hammersmith Odeon

Sorry if the pics aren’t great but I was never in the photographer’s pit, just shoving my way down the front to get some shots for my fanzine. (Ironically by the time we got our next issue out it was probably a couple of months after this gig and I decided this was all old news and never used any!)

First we had to negotiate two pleasant but largely dull support bands.
