Snatch were an odd thing, the duo from New York of Judy Nylon and Patti Paladin expanding into a band when in the UK but never really establishing a strong presence. Three singles. the best known being ‘Stanley/I.R.T’ and ‘All I Want’, plus an album I certainly never saw at the time. Kinda cool they were actually fun live, although these pics are pretty dire and I have lost some of the original negatives, so a few are scans from my fanzine (cover of Panache #5 included below).
At the Greyhound gig someone I took to be their manager was being a total arsehole, demanding no photos be taken for some reason but the building had a balcony running around both sides of the venue back then (later removed) so we grabbed some from up there. At the Speakeasy we couldn’t really be arsed as the place so boring for bands, you had to wait forever, and they were expected to do two sets so kept things short anyway.
After Snatch Nylon pretty much disappeared by the end of the 80’s, while Patti worked with partner Johnny Thunders for a while.
