BLONDIE - DISCOGS

Blondie had built up good momentum leading up to this tour, having been the main attraction of the Television tour in 1977, on which they were support. The “Blondie” and “Plastic Letters” albums had been successful, with “Parallel Lines” wating in the wings. The punkier surftastic singles, ‘Rip Her To Shreds’, ‘X Offender’ and ‘In The Flesh’ were emphasising their cool side, and the world was about to become their oyster, whatever that means. A classic band, and deadly live. Seeing them at a venue like this was an unexpected bonus. (The next tour saw them move ‘up’ to two nights at Hammersmith Odeon, matinee shows included.)
