Me being interviewed about comics!
In the latest Barcelona Review no less!
Garry Smout kindly interviewed me for The Barcelona Review about comics, and if he seemed alarmed by the info contained within maybe you will too? He has also written a fascinating piece in praise of a specific comic, the great Halo Jones which I remember enjoying to the point I bought a Halo t-shirt.

Here’s a glimpse of the comics you’ll find reviewed here next week.

This is a great interview! As a lifetime comics enthusiast & avid collector, I agree wholeheartedly with the 'slabbing' issue. 'Inheritance' aside (I've got a huge collection - mostly 'vintage', ie, 60s/70s, but quite a lot of modern stuff too, as well as omnibuses - and I fully encourage my partner & kids to sell them when I die - unless they want to continue the collection, of course - which I doubt...), I don't have any time for people who buy comics as an 'investment'. The amount of times I re-read comic books that I know inside out would make 'slabbing' a ridiculous venture. Discussions with like-minded geeks about the art, stories and history of comics is one of my favorite passtimes.
