I only really recall Doom as Doctor Doom, back in the Sixties, maybe on into the Seventies, as a kid when I would still read Fantastic Four, as I quite enjoyed the grumpy old Thing character. He popped up in a few titles with his stern armoured face and manky cloak, but he was no more special than any other baddie.
